Paris is having a large economy in the world. If we see it in the global context among the other cities of the world then it would get a sixeenth rank with respect to the other cities.
The Paris city is considered as premier center of economic activity. In a survey counducted in the 1999 shows that 5,089,170 employees are there in the urban area of Paris out of which 6.6% in education, 16.5% employed in the bussiness services, 8.7% in health services, 13.09% in commerce, 8.2% in transportation and communications, 12.3% in manufacturing, 10.0% in public administrations and defense and the rest of the 24.7% in other different sectors. The economy of the Paris divide in two different sectors:

Primary Sector: The products from this sector consists of the raw meterials that are made for the other industries. The main bussiness in this sector consists of agriculture, agribusiness, fishing, forestry and all mining and quarrying industries. The industries that cumulate, pack, package, purify or process the raw materials nearly to the main producers are normally considered section of this sector, particularly if the raw material is unsuitable for sale or difficult to transport long distances. Primary industry is a greater sector in developing countries, for example, animal husbandry is more common in Africa than in Japan. Secandary Sector: Secondary sector of the economy that involves those economic sectors that create a finished, usable product manufacturing and construction. The material which is prepared in this industries is suitable for the use by the people, for the export purposes.
